Reviews of eviivo
Highly Recommend
Comments: Our overall experience with eviivo has been great so far, in the short time we have been using the system we have had a much better experience and more benefits compared to our previous system and look forward to using more of the tools and reports provided by the system which we haven't got round to using yet.
Pros:
I like how easy the view of the dashboard is and how there are separate categories views such as "Actions" which shows you any cancelled bookings, deposits due, cards declined or over bookings. It also has a lot of reporting tools you can use which is a bonus for us from our last system that failed us.
Cons:
A feature we miss having is the fact to move bookings in the system. Sometimes we have issues with a property such as a boiler break down and have to move them to another property but we can't move the booking in the system to allow our cleaners to see the changes and what needs cleaned, we need to just block it off and manually tell them.
best of all
Comments: We have used several channels managers and Eviivo has by far been the best we have ever used. The team is great, caring and willing to help. The system is easy to use and has many great features. I would recommend Eviivo to any one.
Pros:
We have used many channels managers, we have been most satisfied with Eviivo. Friendly team always willing to help. We love how easy Eviivo is to use and the many upgrades over the years. If I had to pick one thing I like the most besides the team, it is the depndable and easy to use calendar.
Cons:
I wish I could think of something to be critical of but there is nothing.
Owner aaaaa
Pros:
Works ok when yo can get on the software or get some support.
Cons:
Force you to change password. Then won't accept a new password! This constant need to change passwords. The inability to get support at 10pm! Now I'm locked out of the poorly designed software, unable to get info on MY bookings! Tried resetting password a dozen times! NO ACCESS!
Eviivo saves our precious time
Comments: We are very grateful to everyone at Eviivo
Pros:
Julie who takes care of us responds promptly and is amazing and kind.
Cons:
Can't think of anything that has been difficult
Great property mgmt system
Pros:
The live support and the quick help with every question I have.
Cons:
No complaints. Some limitations in reporting but support helped us find a different way.
Great Product, Great People
Comments: fantastic support channels via chat (and phone when allowed)
Pros:
channel integration within Google, Hotels.Com, Expedia, VRBO, etc.
Cons:
software glitches in rate plan management and screens. Would also be great to activate and deactivate a plan (vs delete and recreate only)
Alternatives Considered:
Efficient service
Comments: Positive. Just a few little things to overcome as I get used to the system.
Pros:
Combining all the other platforms and ease of use on mobile
Cons:
Customer service when having an issue - left waiting in chat room for long periods of time.
Not a good experience
Comments: Bad. Just not acceptable. As a business owner who used to manage websites, social media, and online marketing for clients, communication was unacceptable. I got my website up and working in less than 24 hours with another provider. It looked how I wanted and had capabilities that I was working with Eviivo to get for almost a month. While we started strong , lack of communication when your website isn't working, the SSL is broken, does not work when you need to have your website live to take bookings and make money. I feel like I wasted a month of my time that I could have been making money.
Pros:
Their system is very thorough in gathering information. A lot of detail and in depth planning, but takes a lot of time. Their integration seemed good but I didn't complete and bookings that way.
Cons:
Customer service and onboarding was awful. Getting help, whether a small question or pushing a button to activate something was like pulling teeth. They had folks on chat support but they always said I needed to talk to my onboarding agent who didn't reply to emails or answer my questions. I got very simple, template like replies, like "just click here and here." Instead of helping me set up website capabilities on the back end (HTML) or scheduling a meeting. As a client, I should never have to wait more than 24 hours for a reply when onboarding. If you're busy, just reply and set up a call. If you're on vacation, have an away message.
Rude customer service
Comments: I used hotel.com to book a stay. I paid hotel.com and received my receipt. However, I received a 2nd receipt from Enviilvo.com and that receipt was over $20 higher than the hotel.com booking. I called hotel.com which told me the only booking they had was the 1st one & told me to call Enviilo. When I called Enviilo, I got a "customer service" rep. named [sensitive content hidden]. [sensitive content hidden] was very rude, and loud. When I tried to explain the situation, [sensitive content hidden] kept interrupting, talking over me, & refused to listen to anything I had to say. I told her that I thought she was being rude, and her only response was "Thank you." I still don't know why I was double billed, what I will be billed, or whether I will be billed twice for the same stay.
Pros:
Nothing - I didn't request it, but received a receipt for a bill which was more than $20 more than the same billing I got directly from Hotels.com
Cons:
Extremely RUDE "customer service." Actually no customer service at all only, just someone who yelled at me, refused to listen to my problem & basically talked to me as though she thought she was my superior.
THANK YOU [sensitive content hidden]!!
Pros:
[sensitive content hidden] saved the day for me and our couple today.
Cons:
Maybe allow simple editing capabilities when doing room "Block" bookings, especially for our type of venue that has two lodging properties
Great product
Comments: Eviivo is our main business tool. Without it we would have to manage our bookings and payments on a variety of different software. Eviivo simply makes it simple.
Pros:
One calendar to view all our bookings - that's brilliant! One place to update our property information, again brilliant. Alert messages when someone books or cancels is helpful too. The support i received from [sensitive content hidden] when setting up Eviivo was truly exceptional. When the going got tough and the questions got stupid, he never faltered but politely and promptly responded. When there was an issue relating daily rates that he could not solve instantly, he sought technical assistance and came back to me with the answer and solution. He was just so helpful throughout and even worked with me in English language. Hard to fault him!
Cons:
Having to amend OTA websites and accounts as well as Eviivo is a pain. Maintaining accounts with VRBO, Booking, AirBnB etc is difficult. This is not really a fault of Eviivi i know.
Eviivo - a great PMS for managing 2 bedroom room cottages or 100+ room hotels
Comments: I chose Eviivo from a shortlist of maybe half a dozen products when I started out three and a half years ago now and I've grown my business on the back of it. The support during the pandemic of 202/21 was exceptional too. And the price has been a constant too, which is really nice. To be honest, I can't imagine being without Eviivo now.
Pros:
The support. It's second to none. You don't need it often, but when you do it's there for you.
Cons:
To be honest I can't think of any features I don't like about Eviivo. And I rarely think of improvements that could be made to it (although I do sit up and take notice when Eviivo bring out improvments). I suppose I could cite the fact that there isnt a facility within the software where users can suggest improvements (or not one I've found anyway). Also, Eviivo don't have an affiliate scheme which is a pity, otherwise I'd probably be even more pro Eviivo than I am already!
My review
Comments: Generally a good experience apart from the avbove mentioned points
Pros:
In general relatively easy to use and stable. No serious problem so far which is the basis for this type of product
Cons:
- Sometimes a bit sow- I requested an alternative way of displaying the availability on the web but so far no response - messages to customers could a little bit more modern and flexible (pictures, titles...)
Eviivo was the suggested replacement for Webervations
Comments: This was presented as a option when the Chamber of Commerce in my community cut ties with Webervations. I made the switch, but at the same time listed my property on Airbnb. At this point the majority of my reservations come thru Airbnb, and they cost me much less than the reservations booked thru Eviivo. While I appreciate that guests can book my property directly without paying additional fees to Airbnb, the additional costs are outweighing the benefit.
Pros:
More user friendly than Webervations was, but the additional costs are adding up. At this point I am leaning towards moving to Airbnb only. Much simpler model, lower cost and they handle my state tax payments for me.
Cons:
In addition to paying a fee to Eviivo, I have to pay fees to a third party provider to process credit card payments. Unlike Airbnb, I am responsible for collecting and paying state sales tax. Eviivo touts the ability to advertise my property on other sites such as Home Away, Agoda, etc...but the fees are exorbitant. I am a small business and cannot afford to give up 15% to 20% of my revenue, which I could have rented the same dates thru Airbnb for a much lower cost.

Donna, First I have good news. The integration between eviivo and Simpleview (Jack Rabbit) is now complete. You can actually just opt in to that channel within your eviivo suite. Also, I have other pieces of news to share with you regarding all of the things that have happened since you were initially migrated from Webervations to eviivo 2+ years ago. I will reach out to your directly. Regards, Mike Weimann VP Sales - Operations - US
Excellent value for the price!
Comments: Great company, helpful. The time I used to spent on repetitive admin tasks just nose dived to a fraction of what it used to be!
Pros:
Set it up and forget about it! The software behaves like a workhorse and takes care of a million things for me every day.
Cons:
Some things take too long to set up when you get started. But worth the effort.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
Comments: Eviivo has cost our business time and money. I am now looking to replace eviivo with another booking engine. It's a shame that the customer service is so lacking because I really had hoped I would like their product. Especially after being on Webervations for 15 yrs which saw virtually no improvements to their calendar despite so many technical advancements in that timeframe which really makes my point...how could eviivo be so much worse than the antiquated and outdated Webervations? At least Weber worked reliably and never cost me reservations.
Pros:
Absolutely nothing. Booking engine is NOT working. Their customer service is NON EXISTENT. Phone calls go to voice mail, emails unanswered, support tickets unanswered, online chat spotty at best.
Cons:
This booking engine is unreliable at best. Since going "live" 2 weeks ago I have not received a reservation thru eviivo because it doesn't work. I have received calls from guests who were unable to complete their booking online which was exactly my experience after I conducted my own test to ensure their system was actually functioning. My test booking never went thru...just kept cycling back to the reservation page. I am 2 weeks into this and have not even received a phone call back from eviivo and the booking engine is still NOT working. The customer service is NON EXISTENT. No one answers the phone, their online chat support is not staffed and most often is unavailable, email and support tickets go unanswered. I have a small lodging property and pride myself on being responsive to the requests of my guests. I am dumbfounded by the total lack of regard eviivo has for their customers. Each day that goes by without the booking engine working properly is costing my business revenue and disservicing my guests. Here are more negatives: 1. The address field asks only for a zip code and not the guests full address. Why? 2. The Discover card and Amex logos do not appear as accepted forms of payment even if your business accepts them. 3. The confirmation letter generated is poorly worded, is largely not customizable and is confusing for a guest to understand. 4. The booking page uses language native to the UK but not the US. Ex: Forename and Surname vs First and Last name.

Hi Sheri, We are sorry to hear of the difficulties you experienced with getting help when you migrated across to eviivo suite from Weber. We experienced some difficulties in being able to get back to customers during this period and apologise for the service level during this time If you'd like to discuss this with us personally please do provide us with some contact details and we'll be in touch. Regards, eviivo
Very poor as compared to their desktop version.
Comments: We LOVED LOVED LOVED the old desktop version. Lived with it for nearly 6 years. But January 1st required us to abandon that and use the new web version. If they maintain their previous commitment to listen to what the customer needs, they might address all the deficiencies of their new system. I have detailed out over 9 such deficiencies in a letter to homeaway (now the owner of RezOvation Web). I have spent hours researching other programs in the past and for the price never found one to match the capabilities of RezOvation desktop. But now I will be looking again because we are now charged a monthly subscription (as most now do) and find the new system cumbersome. (we were familiar with the desktop version within hours of putting it to use, but now after a month we are still struggling to get to the places we need to be)
Pros:
As with their old desktop version, this system does great when it comes to features like: moving or resizing reservations with a drag of the mouse, producing housekeeping and revenue reports, ability to add rooms to an existing reservation, changing the price of any or all rooms. Technical support is quite phenomenal during business hours. Very responsive via phone. Less so via email.
Cons:
As compared to their just retired desktop version, this new system has several problems. 1. We can now no longer see all of our rooms in a single screen shot. Of our 40 rooms, over a 1/3 require scrolling up. 2. Choosing rooms for a reservation takes more care and attention because the room order for the reservation window is ordered differently than for our occupancy map. Also, it now shows all rooms whether available for the selected dates or not (before it only showed available rooms with an option to show "all rooms." 3. In the process of entering a guest, if upon first entry there is no existing guest, it is cumbersome to get out of that screen to add a guest. Before if we entered the name and it didn't exist it was a single click to add the new guest. 4. Increased clicks to accomplish almost everything compared to the old system.
Great Software for our 5 guest room B&B
Comments: From the day we got our first phone call about the possibility of using Eviivo Suite through the set up process with it and the day we "went live" with the online calendar after importing from an Excel program all the past and future reservations from our previous channel manager, we had a very good experience. The Customer Service and Sales People were very anxious to help us transition to Eviivo and to make it as stressless, seamless and smallest use of time they could. I recommend Eviivo to any size business because the Customer Service and Sales Departments know how to tailor this product to the needs of the business. We were "up and running" within a few days with few minor glitches ... mostly because I am not a high tech person and needed to learn a few things to work out the details of what I needed to do from our laptop to contribute to the set up. Customer Service goes out of their way to be sure their customer is confident and knowledgeable about how to use the Eviivo Suite and the entire array of selections offered. They surely helped us. This switch to Eviivo has been an invaluable time saver and more economical for us as well. Thank you so much Eviivo!!!! Ann-Marie Dixon, Owner, High Hill Inn B&B, Vermont (16 years in business).
Pros:
I liked the ease of use of this software. All the answers to the guest bookings are at our "fingertips" with a click or two on the computer. Ease of finding the guest on the calendar, ease of running their deposit, ease of running their check-in and balance due, ease of identifying their booking agency, ease of finding their phone number. Also easy to enter manually a reservation we take over the phone or by email.
Cons:
There wasn't anything I didn't like about this software!
Used by the #1 Small Hotel in the World
Comments: Our overall experience is that for us, we would have no need for any other product.
Pros:
We have used eviivo since we started trading in 2010. Back then it was a PC-based product rather than web-based as it is now. Being web-based it has a zero footprint on our hardware, everyone gets the same view of the same data and updates to our room availability, and therefore updates to a potential guest's view and OTA's view of our room availability, are virtually instantaneous. That aspect is a critical feature, as indeed is the availability of access to the eviivo suite itself, and apart from the rare occasion of planned downtime, or a JCB digging through underground BT cables, we have otherwise never suffered a lack of access to the suite. It is also really easy to use (including the App version for mobile access) - certainly for the features we use, as I know there are a ton more of bells and whistles which we could tap into, but being only 7 rooms, the eviivo suite features we use at this price point are just perfect for us.
Cons:
There is nothing for us to dislike. It does what it says on the tin. As for potential improvements, one thing I would really love to see is the ability to build and run bespoke reports. There are lots of canned reports to use, but sometimes there's just that little extra thing you need - but you can always ask their helpdesk
I would be LOST without Eviivo
Comments: Honestly, it is the incredible customer service that makes Eviivo stand out to me. I have asked some dumb questions over the years as I was learning and thrown in the deep end. Eviivo always helped and directed me to more information and helpful answers. They are always there and no question is too small. They are friendly and dedicated!!
Pros:
When I bought the inn, they already had Eviivo running the software and I just continued. They make it easy to see at a glance where you are and who is coming in. Plus they have LOADS of online tutorials that I wish I would have done earlier.
Cons:
Can't think of anything I don't like, it is amazing!
eviivo's new mobile app is a great addition
Comments: eviivo is the lifeline of our business. The Reservation Management System must work all the time; it must be online all the time; it cannot fail ever...eviivo fulfills those needs.
Pros:
We evaluated several applications before selecting eviivo. It was the best solution for our property. Recently, eviivo updated its mobile application. Frequently, we are on the road and unable to take and make a reservation. The new app makes it very easy to add a reservation using your iPhone. If you need some of the other features such as entering detailed guest data or update rates, etc., it easily maps you into the full eviivo platform. I needed to make a reservation on-the-run today and was able to do it effortlessly using the new mobile app on my iPhone.
Cons:
Nothing of significance...eviivo keeps making improvements to enhance the user experience.
Keeping life simple.
Pros:
I find the eviivo system generally easy to use and, if I ever have a query, there are 'how to' videos available as well as the online chat for support. I only need to update my calendar and rates in the one place and it automatically transfers over to the online booking agencies. All my payments are also handled by 'the system' meaning that I don't need to worry about that side of things. Why complicate things when you don't need to?
Cons:
I can't think of any things that need to be changed.
Wedgewood Guest House in Terrace, BC, Canada
Comments: Whenever I have had an inquiry or required assistance I'd send an email and Eviivo would respond in a very timely manner - and I appreciate that I can speak to a live person when contacting me.
Pros:
Eviivo is our Channel Manager for our Bed & Breakfast, so when a reservation is made on our website or the websites of Expedia, Booking.com and AirBnB all the calendars are populated by Eviivo which results in no double bookings.
Cons:
I have nothing negative to say, we've had excellent service.
Beware!
Comments: Our overall experience was very frustrating, and expensive. We lost business and time. We spent many hours setting up their system, only to never be able to use it.
Pros:
We were clients of Rezovation, which was purchased by Eviivo Suite. We went through the process of migrating over to Eviivo, so we did go through the training process, downloading the new calendar, etc. The system appeared to be very much like Rezovation, which we found to be an excellent system. If they get their technical problems sorted out, then this might be a very good reservation system in the future.
Cons:
However, our experience was that Eviivo was never able to migrate our data over due to issues with converting currencies to Canadian dollars. They initially kept telling us that it would be corrected very soon. Then they quit responding to our phone calls and emails. During the process the old Rezovation system that they'd left running in the interim also had problems and we often had to take it down off of our website completely. We feel that we definitely lost business during the periods that we didn't have an on line booking system. We called and emailed them numerous times to at least get a progress report and, for at least the last month, they didn't even respond to our calls or answer our emails. We definitely cannot recommend this product for any Canadian companies at this time (we don't know if it's functioning elsewhere).

Over a decade of excellence
Comments: Eviivo is integral to the success of my business, ever since I switched to their service in 2009 I have been well served by this choice. They set the bar high for their industry.
Pros:
This platform was adaptable to my unique island location and the demands I put on it to deliver. It has provided a quality interface with multiple gateways and creative ways to advance my offering as 4-star guest house and garden restaurant. Integration was expertly handled and continues to be so with new features evolving.
Cons:
Creating group quotations and associated features would be useful at present screen shots are used but a bug bear but it's a small thing.
