Quire Templates Are Very Customizable
Comments: [sensitive content hidden] is great. She's very helpful and very thorough.
Pros:
Customizable Templates. Import/Export features. Formulas in SmartTables. WordBank. Report Tags. Cost Tables. That it caters to AEC. Has an API. Tracking time spent on Reports.
Cons:
Formulas in SmartTables don't update when columns and rows are added or deleted. Formulas are unable to look at cells in other SmartTables. Inability to use CSS code in Source Code. Inability to format SmartTable Headers. Inability to format Section Headers. SmartTables don't have Section and Subsection numbers as an option.
Two Thumbs Up
Comments: Everything about onboarding was easy. Our rep was amazing and truly understood individual concerns and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. Now we use it for everything and just keep adding people and service lines to our system.
Pros:
So many things to list here--ease of use, the ability to create and edit templates that meet my team's needs in an instant, the support team that is always available to help.
Cons:
The only thing i don't love is that I can't search the entire document at once.

Comments: It has been a great experience, it has smoothed out some of the major pain points in reporting and slowdowns.

Cons:
Pricing is a main point of friction especially as we are a small firm on a couple of down years. Big point here, PHOTO EDITING. The photo tool especially on the browser is very lacking. One minor misclick and the photo gets dragged to hell. Especially when trying to select the tools. Also I know it does not come out on the report but there is a small white line on 3 sides of the image in the editor that leads some Project Managers to believe that that the image is going to come out with that border. Some additional tools that I would reccomend are undo last edit (kind of the same as the section history tab) picture leveling/rotation that is not 90°, brighten/darken. Sometimes it's hard to take a picture in an attic when it's 130°F and you are crouching. Another suggestion to improve would be when the notification email gets sent out. Add a link to the report/ project folder within it. Saves maybe 30 seconds but I think it would be beneficial and hopefully does not take a lot of Dev time. You already include the full report name and ID.
A great alternative to MS Word!!!
Comments: Quire has made my reporting duties much more efficient and not nearly as frustrating as it has been in the past with MS Word documents.
Pros:
I appreciate not having to mess around with formatting like you would have to in MS Word. I also appreciate the ease of rearranging and adding in report sections. Managing appendices is also a breeze.
Cons:
I occasionally have minor issues with Quire getting "stuck" or "bogged down" by my changes, but this is always fixed by refreshing the web page so it doesn't bother me that much.
We are Quire Fans
Comments: Over the past several years, our company went from somewhat reluctant adopters to enthusiastic Quire users. We started with one service line, but when others saw what Quire can do, they were quick to get on the train. We still have some holdouts, but eventually they will probably come around.
Pros:
Standardizes report template and format across a large company footprint. Quire has improved our report writing efficiency. Easy to use- if your users can use MS Word, they can use Quire. Multiple collaborators can work on the same report at the same time, if that's your thing. Great customer service/support. Issues are rare, but quickly addressed if they happen.
Cons:
User permission levels are not customizable WRT what each permission level can/can't do. You're stuck with the default permissions the system assigns, which are not ideal for all companies/users.
Quire People Make Quire GREAT!
Comments: Good, it outputs consistent reports and allows me to quickly bring in more staff to work on reports when needed.
Pros:
The SUPPORT STAFF, every single one of them is incredibly competent and helpful for all my Quire questions. Even if they don't have the answer they direct me to someone who can help like my own internal Quire specialists/account reps.
Cons:
The lack of flexibility with adapting the report template output such as TOC labels or formatting specific parts of the report. Limitations on symbol access if they are not included in the template.
Great experience using Quire for years
Comments: My company has had a great experience with Quire. Their team is very knowledgeable and communicative with us. They are constantly making their product better and even have a mobile app that is extremely helpful.
Pros:
My company began using Quire back in 2020 and it has cut down on our report writing time by HOURS. We have created so many report templates in Quire which has made the report writing process much quicker and simpler.
Cons:
I don't have any negative things to say about Quire. They have a messenger feature on their platform where you can chat with a live person during business hours. If I ever have any issues (which is rare), they are quickly resolved.

I have been using Quire now for 10 years and have also used several other online report writing formats. Quire hands down is the best platform for DD writing that I have seen.

L.O.VE. QUIRE!
Comments: I have been working in Quire for almost two years now. My company uses Quire as a report writing system for our commercial real estate engineering and environmental reports. I have written reports in Quire, but my role now is more of a reviewer. From both a writer and reviewer standpoint, I love using Quire. It is so easy to use and I can't recommend it enough.
Pros:
I love how easy Quire is to use. It is a very intuitive software system that makes report writing SO EASY! If I have a question, there is a Quire chat option on every page where I can chat with a Quire representative instantaneously. The Quire representatives are all so helpful and nice every single time. Now that I've been using Quire for almost two years, the representatives usually teach me how to solve the problem as well so I know how to fix the problem next time. The automation tools in Quire make writing reports so quick and easy. No more copy and paste, just hit the import/export tool!
Cons:
Nothing. I love using Quire! I can't think of a single day where I have been mad or upset about using Quire. It has made my job so much better and easier. Additionally, if you ever have any ideas or recommendations for how to make Quire better, the representatives are happy to hear your input.
Quire Enthusiast!
Comments: I was very leery making the switch to Quire from our legacy system since I thought it was untested and would ultimately slow me down. I am very happy to say I was completely wrong and cannot imagine not using this system now.
Pros:
It is a very intuitive platform and professional platform that sets my work product apart from my competitors. It very scalable and the ease of use allows me to provide critical data to my clients with the click of a button.
Cons:
Could be cheaper? I do not really have any cons though.

Comments: Overall positive with some frustrations. Wish we could conduct a search and replace and that we could change font case.
Pros:
I like the appendix and tags the most in Quire.
Cons:
Sometimes when I write things in the tables and I click away and do something else, when I return, all that I wrote was not saved. Very annoying.

Quire's biggest fan
Comments: Quire is famous on our team for being the most positive and successful technology integration we've experienced to date. Anyone who has tried to implement a new technology in a corporate team should recognize the significance of that. The transition was smooth, the benefits were immediate, and there was a quick and successful solution for every challenge that popped up. It's hard to imagine our life before this tool.
Pros:
Quire revolutionized the report-writing process for our team. We prepare documentation to substantiate clients' tax credit claims, and we previously relied on Word templates and disparate file storage systems, both of which ultimately slowed down report prep and review time. With Quire, we can now prepare reports faster and with fewer errors, locate and review reports with ease, and access a level of data insight into our processes that was never available to us before. The templating functionality is sophisticated, flexible, and easy to build yourself, although Quire's reps are tremendously helpful in the template creation and customization process as well.
Cons:
I have not encountered a single challenge with Quire that their team has not been able to solve. There is a slight learning curve moving away from Word, but I've yet to find a feature that could not be replicated in Quire, and Quire introduced many features and capabilities that we could never previously achieve in our report templates or writing process.
Amazing Report Writing System
Pros:
Quire continually impresses and stands out above all with their responsiveness and chat/customer service features. I've used this chat feature more frequently this year as an added help when creating new reports and report styles/formats. Every single time, Quire does an excellent job in understanding the request and completes the request in a very timely manner. Additionally, the system itself is very user friendly, streamlined, and has helped us write hundreds of reports faster than ever before!
Cons:
Dependent on the amount of users using Quire at one point in time, the universal search function and ability to switch report status' can take longer than normal. Additionally, when in a table within the report if a user highlights to fast and clicks out of the table, any text written in that table disappears (may just be a small big fix. Not a huge concern and does not happen that often).

Quire Fan!
Comments: I am a huge Quire fan. I use it very often as an independent consultant when I work for larger firms. This is the majority of my business. I am unable to use it for my own clients because of the nature of the cost structure.
Pros:
I love the way Quire streamlines the process between administrators, field personnel, report writers, and reviewers. It is a great way to put all documents in one place in order to be accessible by all parties in real-time. Also being able to send a client a link to a report saves the hassle of sending a large document the client might not be able to receive. The customer support is amazing and I have always had any issues resolved or explained to me quickly.
Cons:
Quire is not set up to serve the needs of small businesses. The investment of $$ for a small business is too large a hurdle to overcome unless a large number of reports will be generated a month. I understand that Quire invests a large amount of time and resources in setting up a unique template for each firm. If there was a standard template that a small firm could customize with only input from the Quire team and an option to pay a fee per report instead of a monthly subscription, this would make it more accessible to smaller businesses.
Quire Report Writing Platform Review
Comments: Quire has evolved since we have started using it, and a lot of that evolution is based upon user feedback. In addition, the customer service is generally on top of things, generally resolving most issues the same day, and usually right away for minor issues.
Pros:
The main reason that we chose Quire over their competitors is, at the time, we could create our own document templates. With the competitors at the time, we were not able to do that, we had to submit the template to the company and hope for the best. This also meant that we could not easily do variations on a template to tailor it to a specific client's needs, and could not easily update those templates. In addition, Quire has a per seat fee structure, where the competition at the time had a per report fee structure. Having a subscription is a much better option since we are human and make mistakes.
Cons:
The learning curve is generally fairly short, but something that continues to be a pain point is their use of Smart Tables. In general, the comments I get from my users is that they would like it to me more like a spreadsheet and less like a database.
Wonderful, Intuitive Cloud Based Software
Pros:
Quire has streamlined our report writing process and saved us countless hours over the years. We are able to have all backup documents in one place, with easy access for all parties involved in the writing and reviewing process. It is a user-friendly and extremely collaborative tool. I can't believe we kept using Word for so long!
Cons:
Word Bank functionality/editing is a bit tricky to get the hang of.
Worth the investment for consistent reporting and and always improving
Pros:
Quire helps make our reports consistent, gives us access to them any/everywhere and makes tagging and replication easy. It has the bones for a really good platform, and is always improving. Customer service has been excellent.
Cons:
Our experience has been glitchy for sure, but not enough to negate the positive values. It is still worth the investment for the benefits that it provides. The mapping features are limited but useful for most reports.
