You might want something custom, and you are limited to what you can change. But in my experience this is a plus since many people who try to do custom things end up breaking the system.

Hockey Association

Pros:

TeamLinkt has helped organize our team management for our entire association. It is simple to use and navigate as a player (user), team manager and an administrator. - Calendar syncing so team managers do not have to manually enter games/practices. - Chat and email functions for teams. Ability to share photos. - Email functions for the associations to each team or just team admins. - Direct links for our team store. - Game updates live. - Was great for Covid with the waiver functionality (great customer service to get that going based on feedback from customers)Overall, TeamLinkt is great!!

Cons:

Only one item that could use improvement that I can think of right now: Notifications sometimes remain active (red) until the app is closed/refreshed.

Not worth it

Comments: Overall, its not worth the hassle. We ultimately decided to go with jersey watch for 2022 and for 2023 we are going with sports engine.

Pros:

Some of the features are easy to use and others honestly dont make any sense. Although it tries to be as detailed as possible, alot of the things on there to use are extremely confusing. The app is just as clunky which is the biggest reason why we decided to leave.

Cons:

Most everything. Ease of use is not high on the priority list. The app needs work. It should be as easy as Registration --> Drag and drop into respective teams --> translate to app. we had issues with parents who have more than one child on different teams.

Sport Team and Organization Management

Comments: LOVE IT. I used this app to manage an organization of 100 athletes on 6 teams, run tournaments of 30+ teams in 6 divisions and manage teams in numerous sports. This is very user friendly, tutorials are clear and switching between concurrently running organizations is so simple.

Pros:

The online tutorials as well as quick email support from [SENSITIVE CONTENT]. Setting up organizations, teams, rosters and player movement is seamless. Live communication of schedule changes and scores is paramount to make sure athletes show up on time and in the correct location.

Cons:

The tournament feature is still in its infancy and is not ready to handle either organization needs. However, managing tournaments as a "League" worked easily.

TeamLinkt - worth switching to

Comments: Switching from our previous platform was very easy as the platform is quite intuitive. The fact that it provided most of what we need and included a robust mobile application made this a very easy decision.

Pros:

Most features for registrations, league management, officials and scheduling are extremely easy to set up and work very well compared to many other platforms. Cost is incredibly low when looking at many other providers. The mobile aspect of TeamLinkt rivals all other companies and far better than most, especially if looking for a made in Canada solution.

Cons:

Some high level or complex reporting functions are not currently available, however plans to expand this area are apparently being worked on right now.

Love TeamLinkt

Comments: We are able to track any outstanding payments much easier, registration is much simpler, and scheduling is a breeze. Customer service was outstanding.

Pros:

It's hard to say what I liked most about this software program, I have used others as a parent but not from an organizational perspective. Our entire executive was thoroughly impressed with the program especially with there being no fee to use it. We are a youth sports organization so we do everything we can to keep costs to a minimum. The online registration, payment, and app integration were by far the best for us.

Cons:

The ads can be a little intrusive and annoying (this was really the only complaint we received) but we completely understand and respect why they are there and appreciate that we are able to use the program fee due to this.

Great for Leagues!

Comments: Amazing customer service and support. This has been a great experience for our league and we have gotten a ton of great feedback this year on the app.

Pros:

Free and functional for league organizer. Takes the challenge out of game scheduling and organizing.

Cons:

Scoring system needs improvement. Adding points, updating final scores etc. Would be great to have a volleyball specific point counter, and to select number of sets and max pts.

The Best Free Team Management Software Available Period

Comments: We switched from a home-grown game scheduling system to TEAMLINKT 3 years ago. There was initial concern that our 50+ non-techie ladies would bolt from the app. The opposite proved true. They love the ease and simplicity of signing up for games and they love finding all the league information on the website.

Pros:

Extensive Player Scheduling capability and flexibility and the personalized website offering,

Cons:

Ease of use for administrator. The first two years were grueling since the cloning capability was not available and the import function never worked. Most of these issues have been resolved in the current version of the software

The best value and customer service for Teams and Leagues.

Comments: I have been using TeamLinkt since I took over this baseball league. I love the kindness of the support staff, the ease of use of the products.

Pros:

The ability to schedule and communicate those with the teams.

Cons:

The only thing that I would like to see added is the ability to add pitch counts to the records.

TeamLinkt has been our goto system since day 1

Comments: We are extremely happy with TeamLinkt its functionality and its current roadmap. Compared to the other systems that we looked at its ease of setup and operations heads and tails beyond the competitors. Our Club is happy yo recommend TeamLinkt to others.

Pros:

Teamlinkt has been our goto registration and team management system literally since we launched just over a year ago. Early on we had some hick ups with the system - some of our own doing - but we have been able to adapt and work with TeamLinkt to rectify and correct issues.The registration and team management aspects of the software have been critical in the operation and growth of our Club having allowed us to focus on managing Club growth and day-to-day operations.

Cons:

Our biggest issue with the software is the inability to simply interface invoicing with our accounting system. As the driver of revenue we need to understand collection issues on a timely basis. The other aspect that we would like to see further development on is regarding to discounts - some times coaches and registrars make deals with families that do not fit the standard and are sometime done post registration - while we have created a workaround, it would be nice to have the ability of the administrator to deal with these.

TeamLinkt for Communities

Pros:

Registration via Teamlinkt is very easy to use. Combined with schedules that can track attendance is very handy.

Cons:

As a community association we require one membership per family before a family can sign up for a community program. We would like it if there was a way for TeamLinkt to recognize family members so that they wouldn't have to buy a membership for each family member. I should say we have brought this to Teamlinkt staff and they are currently working on a way to help us with this issue.

Team linkt Product Review from a High School Athletic Perspective

Comments: Overall experience has been positive from our school's perspective, especially when comparing the useability of Teamlinkt with products we have used in the past. We have liked the transition to Teamlinkt and appreciate the customer service whenever we run into an issue.

Pros:

The software is user friendly once you get used to knowing how the system works. When first introduced to our organization it seemed confusing, but like anything new, once you get using the product it becomes very easy to manage once you take the time to learn it's features. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] with Teamlinkt was also always available and on hand to help with any features that we needed help with, and he either took care of it from his end or trained us on how to use the software better from our end.

Cons:

Like anything that is technology based, there will always be frustrating aspects to using the product. It was not an issue once you learned how to avoid some of the steps that can lead to issues. The software was not the issue, it was more the user and how they submitted information.

Comments: Overall it's a great inexpensive option for organizations that don't have the extra to pay a monthly fee.

We started with it because of the fact that it was free...since using it we have implemented more of the software.

I just wish they were able to update the app, that is the biggest complaint that I get from parents.

OK for a LGBTQ+ Non-Profit Sports League

Pros:

This is a step up from our last provider and using the software is fairly straight forward. TeamLinkt has an app that our players really like that allows them to see the schedule, post scores, and chat with teammates.

Cons:

The ads in the app are the worst part of the user experience - specifically the ads that prevent you from moving to another screen until the time is up. The ads also apply to the registration form when viewed on a mobile device which negatively impacts the user experience and can appear as spam. I have requested information on removing those ads, but the final information has yet to be provided. There are also some bugs with the chat feature where notifications to do go away. My particular sport is billiards and our scoring and lineup process is somewhat unique compared to other sports, but it would be great if that could be incorporated into this.

TeamLinkt is great value!

Pros:

TeamLinkt provided a very low-cost (free to us) way to move from paper based registrations and manual payments to online registration and payments. We are able to pass on the processing fees to our club members to keep costs down for our non-profit club.

Cons:

Some features aren't necessarily intuitive to the users; such as during the registration process for a minor, the parent will occasionally create a TeamLinkt account for the minor using the parent's email rather than creating a parent account and linking a minor to their account. Once this happens, changing the data in the system is challenging.

Ease of League Management

Comments: It’s been great working with TeamLinkt. I’d highly recommend it to colleagues.

Pros:

When I took over my Women’s flag football league they used paper and checks for registration. I needed it to be easy for my busy schedule working as a mom and community member. TeamLinkt was the solution. They’re constantly upgrading and adding features to make it better. They’re responsive and listen.

Cons:

It takes getting used to the tools, a little Klimt for certain steps of the process, but I try to provide positive feedback.

This product is perfect for volunteers. It’s easy to use, intuitive process and customer support are all great.
